2008 marks the fourth year of the Chattanooga Powerboat Races on the Chickamauga Lake at the TVA Dam Reservation. It is also the second running of the US Championship powerboat races for teams from Offshore Performance Association, Offshore Pro Series, along with teams returning from the Jersey Outlaw Series.
2008 is the 25th anniversary of the STARS Powerboat Racing Rescue Team. The STARS got its start here in Chattanooga during the 1983 Riverbend Festival running of the US Formula One Racing Association. Since that event the STARS Team has over 500 rescue/assists and traveled all over the world providing safety support for over 32 different powerboat racing classes.

The STARS Powerboat Rescue Team are proud to announce the Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling as the Official Soft Drink Beverage of the 3rd Annual Chattanooga Offshore Powerboat Races. This event is a perfect fit with Chattanooga being the worlds first Coca-Cola bottling plant. Please visit the Chattanooga Coca-Cola site for more history of the first bottling plant.

Story of B & B
B & B Steel Erection began in 1968 in Chattanooga, TN. B & B Steel has been involved in the building of many notable landmark buildings in the Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama areas. B & B Steel has remained a privately held, family owned company since its inception. The company is now being managed by the second generation of the Booker family.
